Darth Vader’s Blog

You may have noticed that my "Somewhat Bizarre" links list includes a link to Darth Vader’s blog. It’s been an entertaining read, but it looks as though it has now come to an end with a barnstormer of an entry. More serious in tone than most of the other entries, which had a Douglas Adams style of absurd humour running through them, it is a good piece of writing and brings the diary of Vader to a satisfying conclusion.

The blog was the work of Matthew Frederick Davis Hemming, and there’s a good interview with him here.

    Hi and thanx for your comments… :-)I’ve read every Niven book except ‘the flying saucerers’ when I was a kid he was my favourite author.. have you read any of his Drakos Tavern series?Wot about Clifford D Simak.. way station?I used to be very much into SF not so much now a days, I seem to like biographies and a really god one is Death Plus Ten Years by Roger Cooper..Just notice your previous blog.. my dad is mad about bird watching and goes nowhere without his binoculars.. and says things like ‘oh look its a blah blah blah’ out of the blue from time to time.thanx again.

    I always get confused with that one too.. here or there? which one?Simak…. yep thats the one.. first one of his I read.Shakespeare’s planet and Destiny’s Doll [thats one of my favourites].. I used to scower second hand bookshops looking for Simak books… and niven and A. E. Van VoghtI don’t read so much now-a-days.. it sort of petered out when I discovered the joys of Commodore 64’s and infocom text adventures… before that I read day in day out much to the annoyance of everyone around me.. computers took that place with a short break for painting little fantasy pewter figures from games workshop.. now its kids!
