That reminds me of the Underwriters Laboratory safety videos regarding turkey fryers:http://www.ul.com/consumers/turkeys.htmlI'm told fried turkey is excellent, but I have yet to try this. I prefer my Thanksgiving bird roasted in the oven, thank you very much.

The device looks like something that has been invented specifically for boosting entries to the Darwin awards. I mean, you don’t have to be Archimedes to realise that lowering a turkey into the device will displace boiling hot oil, surely…? Deep-fried turkey? Sounds as wholesome as that Scottish delicacy: deep-fried Mars bars…
